Eureka Symphony's "Alluring Influences"

Truly an evening like no other, Eureka Symphony highlights two incredible women: Florence Price, the first black female composer to have her work performed by a major orchestra, and Jenny Scheinman, violinist, composer, improviser and band leader. Price's captivating "Symphony No. 1" melds West African rhythms, soulful spirituals with classical traditions. Jenny Scheinman will showcase her improvisational virtuosity in a joyous celebration of sound with Eddie Sauter's "Focus".
