Every Body Humboldt will be at the Morris Graves Museum of Art on Sunday, July 15th at 12:00pm for a slow-paced, gentle, and fully accessible Yoga class for all bodies and levels of experience. Chairs, props and many modifications will be available. Taking our focus from the “Towering: Art Inspired by the Redwoods” exhibit, we’ll move through a grounding and relaxing yoga session, exploring how we can feel both strong and easeful simultaneously. Class will close with an optional short Redwoods-inspired printmaking project. “Every Body Humboldt works to create accessible healing opportunities and spaces through embodiment, expressive arts and community programming, using a trauma-informed lens. We believe that these tools for healing, creating and building resiliency should be accessible to all, regardless of physical ability, race, gender identity, sexual identity and economic status.” –Sarah Matik
