Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Family Literacy Night featuring Carpathian the Gentle Ghoul

When: Wed., Oct. 19, 6:30 p.m. 2016

Come and enjoy a variety of ghost stories! Each story has a special shivery thrill when told by Carpathian, the wandering specter of Humboldt County. A beloved storyteller who knows how to captivate his audience of any age. Storytelling is an old tradition that goes hand in hand with our goal of encouraging literacy. Each child in attendance will receive a free book at the end of the presentation. Books are generously donated by Tin Can Mailman. For more information, call 269-1910 or visit www.humlib.org. Family Literacy Night is sponsored by First 5 Humboldt, www.humkids.org, and Humboldt Literacy Project. For more information about Humboldt County's only source of free, confidential, one-on-one literacy tutoring for adults, call Humboldt Literacy Project at 445-3655 or www.humlit.org.
