Family play party at the Eureka Library! Families are invited to a two-part program on Saturday, July 22. At 1 p.m. is a dedication of a new play collection in honor of Pat Smith, former Children’s Services Outreach Coordinator for the Humboldt County Library, with brief speeches by coworkers and family celebrating Pat’s contributions to the lives of children and families in Humboldt County. After the grown-ups finish talking, a variety of materials for exploration, construction, and dramatic play will be unveiled. Children and their families are invited to drop in to play from about 1:45 p.m. until 3 p.m.
