Fickle Hill Creek Restoration Day

When: Sat., Nov. 9 2019

The City of Arcata Environmental Services Department, the Humboldt Fish Action Council and the U.S Department of Fish and Wildlife are seeking volunteers to assist with restoring Fickle Hill Creek on Saturday, November 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants will have the unique opportunity to learn more about local ecology, meet local agency partners and take an active role in the City’s ongoing efforts to improve and restore local creeks, ecosystems and watersheds. Work will include habitat enhancement at Fickle Hill Creek. This work day will take place rain or shine, and all ages are welcome to attend. Those who wish to volunteer are asked to meet at 9 a.m. at 255 Samoa Boulevard. Participants are encouraged to bring water, gloves and to wear protective footwear and clothing.
