The City of Eureka is holding a Homebuyer Program Workshop to discuss the possibilities. The Program offers a down payment assistance loan of up to $100,000.00, without City monthly payments (deferred), to eligible low and moderate income households (see chart below) to fill the gap in financing between an Umpqua Bank first mortgage loan and the purchase price of a single family home located within the city limits of Eureka. This workshop will review program eligibility, the first and second mortgage loans, the real estate purchase process, the importance of a good credit history, and escrow process.
