Come celebrate all the many dance styles of Humboldt County in one big, glorious showcase! Now in its third year, Free The Beasts has delighted audiences with a wide variety of styles and choreographers. This will be the best year yet, with a cast of over fifty dancers ranging in styles from Modern, Bellydance, Swing, Jazz, Aerial, and more! Stephanie Carter and Shoshanna collaborated together to provide dancers and choreographers with a liberating performance opportunity, inviting any and every dance artist to create their own work without any restrictions of other performances. This year, some of those artists include: Yanoula and The Rockin' Rubies from Garberville, who have traveled up to Arcata every year to perform an energetic Bellydance piece; Raven Arnold and dancers from North Coast Preparatory and Performing Arts Academy with a political piece on climate change; Carrie Badeaux with Sundance Ballet Company and Dance Scene Studios, performing The Mad Tea Party from their upcoming recital "Alice in Wonderland"; Rhythmically Challenged with Swing fusion, students from HSU, North Coast Dance, Redwood Raks, teachers from Trillium Dance Studios, and many more!
