In the 1930s United States, facing economic crisis caused by banker speculation and labor unions under attack, our economy was saved by great Federal jobs programs — G.I. Bill, TVA and the New Deal safety net programs.
We need a Green New Deal to create millions of green jobs, move our country off fossil fuels and protect working people of all backgrounds.
Our current course of wealth inequality and environmental devastation is simply unsustainable and must change.
