Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

God’s Interest in Your Job Explored at Lifetree Café

When: Sun., Jan. 17, 7 p.m. 2016

How God feels about your job will be discussed at Lifetree Café on Sunday, January 17 at 7 p.m.   The program, titled “Taking God to Work: How to See the Spiritual Significance in What You Do,” features a filmed interview Doug Sherman, co-author of “Your Work Matters to God.” During the interview, Sherman explores whether certain jobs allow people to connect with God more easily through their everyday work. ccable@group.com “When we think of some jobs as being spiritual and some not, we are missing the fact that God cares about our physical needs, our emotional needs, and our spiritual needs,” Sherman says. “While pastors may help us with our spiritual needs, the rest of us are focused on helping meet people’s emotional and physical needs with our work. God cares just as much about our physical needs as our spiritual needs.” Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Lifetree Café is located at Campbell Creek Connexion on the corner of Union and 13th St., Arcata. Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting.
