Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Gonzalo Bergara Quartet

When: Tue., Sept. 17, 8 p.m. 2013

Buenos Aires guitarist Gonzalo Bergara swings into Arcata with his quartet and a new release, “Walking Home”. After touring extensively with the John Jorgenson Quintet, Bergara has emerged a virtuoso composer and lead guitarist, mixing a cascade of arpeggios with the sounds of Paris and his native Argentina, to forge his own style. His all-acoustic Gonzalo Bergara Quartet plays a modern variant of the 1930s Django Reinhardt-inspired sound. As His first CD, Porteña Soledad, was Editor’s Pick in Guitar Player Magazine. Joining Bergara are Jeffrey Radaich on rhythm guitar, Leah Zeger on violin and Brian Netzley on upright bass.
