Meet Redwood Region Audubon Society field trip leader Carol Wilson at the end of South I Street (Klopp Lake). Shorebirds such as godwits, curlews, dowitchers, willets and other sandpipers are enroute to their breeding grounds. The breeding season will also be in full swing for many terrestrial species including warblers, hummingbirds, and chickadees, so it’s a great time to observe fascinating behaviors such as territorial disputes between neighbors, mating and courtship activities, as well as nest building activities. Bring your binoculars and plan on walking about two miles. Please let us know you plan to attend. Contact Ralph Bucher.
