Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Halloween Boogie

When: Sat., Oct. 26, 7 p.m. 2013

Heavyweight Dub Champion, Liberation Movement, Ganga Giri, and El Radio Fantastique will make this a costumed night to remember.

From their press release:

Heavyweight Dub Champion is rooted in electronic music and their unique sound has been described as "a shamanistic wall of hip hop dubtronica." Brainchild of Resurrector, the group features a rotating collection of MCs and musicians who bring a unique global flavor.

Liberation Movement is a side project of Heavyweight Dub Champion which features Resurrector alongside Sasha Rose of the Goddess Alchemy Project.

Ganga Giri hails from Australia and is a world renowned didgeridoo virtuoso. Accompanied by his trio for this performance, their modern Aboriginal sound is an explosion of fat dub beats mashed up with a energetic dancehall vibe.

El Radio Fantastique hails from the SF Bay Area and is led by the charismatic songwriter, dumpster diver, and one-time gravedigger, Giovanni DiMorente. The group features a collection of talented and electrifying musician-performers who wowed the crowd at this year's Summer Arts & Music Festival and are a perfect fit for Halloween.

Additionally, the Halloween Boogie will feature DJ Olly Boon, a costume contest for both kids and adults, delicious food and drink, and a bar for 21 and over.

Price: $30
