Hazel Ricard: Translating Text to Embodiment

When: Thu., March 10, 12-1 p.m. 2022

In this workshop, we will translate poetic text into movement and sound. Hazel is a poet, musician and devised theatre-maker who will share a method that she employs to move between forms: To begin with words, create illustrations and then specific gestures and sounds derived from those illustrations. Participants will be asked to use their bodies in any way they find comfortable and perform for one other person. Only volunteers will be asked to perform for the group. Tickets are $10 and include a prepared lunch!
