Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

High Elevation Butterfly Field Trip

When: Sat., July 29, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. 2017

Join Redwood Region Audubon Society for a butterfly-specific trip from Horse to Grouse Mountain. Various fritillaries, blues, swallowtails, coppers, and hairstreaks are expected, and we might also get lucky and find the recently described Disguised Wood-Nymph. We will also note all the birds we see and hear as we go. Meet at 9 a.m near Jitter Bean Coffee to carpool. Bring a lunch and sun protection. Contact leaders Gary Falxa or Rob Fowler for information.
