The 15th Victor Schaub Memorial Lecture on Local Politics will address “Housing Affordability and Availability in Arcata.” What are the causes of the current housing challenges facing students and other members of the community? What are policies and/or practices most likely to help address these challenges? These questions will be addressed by panelists Chant'e Catt, HSU Off-Campus Housing Liaison; Nezzie Wade, President, Affordable Homeless Housing Alternatives; Tony Wallin, HSU Investigative Journalism Student, co-author of "The Housing Games" (North Coast Journal 12/13/18); and Jane Woodward, Member, Arcata Economic Development Commission and Arcata Citizens for Responsible Housing.
