HSU Guitar Ensemble and Mariachi de Humboldt Concert

A new generation of mariachis has arrived in Humboldt! The Humboldt State University School of Dance, Music, and Theatre is proud to present the debut concert of its newest ensemble, Mariachi de Humboldt, co-directed by Norverto Angón Gonzales and Jennifer Trowbridge, in a live event also featuring the HSU Guitar Ensemble. The HSU Guitar Ensemble will open the concert, performing music from Spain, Argentina, Mexico, and Greece as well as two works by Texas composer Mark Anthony Cruz and two jazz standards. Mariachi de Humboldt will perform traditional works from Mexico, plus works by Jiménez and Cárdenas.

Price: $10, $5 child, free for HSU students with ID
