Humboldt Bay Harbor Working Group Luncheon

Aldaron Laird is a professional environmental planner of over 25 years. He has specialized in regulatory compliance for projects in aquatic environments and now focuses on adaptation planning for sea level rise. In February, Mr. Laird released the final report for the Humboldt Bay Sea Level Rise Adaptation Planning project. In 2012, Mr. Laird completed the “Humboldt Bay Shoreline Inventory, Mapping and Sea Level Rise Vulnerability Assessment project, for which he walked and kayaked the entire shoreline of the Bay.” In 2007, he produced the “Historical Atlas of Humboldt Bay and Eel River Delta.” Aldaron is currently preparing a sea level rise risk analysis for the City of Eureka, he will present his findings as to potential impacts to Humboldt Bay and Harbor. Come listen and join the conversation about the possibilities the harbor/bay has for our local use. Sign-in is at noon, lunch and introductions at 12:15 p.m., the presentation at 12:45 p.m. followed by a Q&A session.
