Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Humboldt Bay Harbor Working Group (HBHWG) announces an update on the Local Coastal Program land use plan, presented by Robert Wall, Interim Director of Planning and Building, County of Humboldt. The presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, January 27th, at Samoa Cookhouse from 12:30-1:30 p.m. with lunch served from 12:00-12:30 p.m. The California Coastal Act of 1976 requires that each coastal jurisdiction prepare a Local Coastal Program (LCP), including a coastal land use plan. The LCP also includes zoning ordinances and zoning district maps, and, where required by the coastal land use plan, other applicable implementation measures. Come enjoy a “no-host” lunch with friends and listen to a brief update of our local coastal plan at the Samoa Cookhouse, Wednesday, January 27, 2016, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Chicken parmesan is the main course for $15.00 or you may chose soup of the day and salad for $11.00.
