The Forum will be presented by The Food Commons, an organization developing a new way of creating sustainable regional food systems. The Food Commons Development Director, Warren King and Coordinating Director, Jamie Harvey will join the HFPC via teleconference, and present their experience and models that are currently working in The Food Commons model is a networked system of physical, financial and organizational infrastructure that allows new local and regional markets to operate efficiently, and small to mid-sized food enterprises to compete and thrive according to principles of sustainability, fairness, and public accountability. Food Commons prototype sites are locally owned, operated and administered by their communities.
