"It feels like we've been assaulted," said Debbie Funada, of Arcata, about the decision to cut staff and community volunteers at KHSU-FM.

HSU alum and artist Alan Sanborn, of Arcata, came to offer his sentiments about the cuts at KHSU-FM.

"I am gutted," said longtime KSHU-FM volunteer Lisa Enge, of Fieldbrook. "Losing the KHSU staff and community volunteers is like having a family member killed. The on-air staff have become our friends."

Longtime KHSU-FM listener and supporter Sonja Roseth, of Trinidad, said she was so sad about the loss of community programming at KHSU-FM.
