I like to think of myself as a good writer, so I am always impressed with great writers. What a creative, funny and well-written column "Yelp Reviews of Christmas Dinner at Carol's House" (Dec. 27) was. It just sucked me in and paid off with a witty and charming story that everyone could relate to.
My step-grandfather was raised by a Chinese family in Vancouver, so one year at Thanksgiving, my grandmother made and bought Chinese food as a surprise rather than the traditional turkey and fixings. The horror! The outcry!
Great job, Jennifer!
