In 2011, amidst the ‘Arab Spring’, directors Rania and Raed Rafei returned to a different time of struggle, 1974. That year, Lebanon was in intellectual, cultural and political ferment. In March, a few students from the American University of Beirut occupied the university’s premises for 37 days to protest against rising tuition fees.
