March For Our Lives

When: Sat., March 23, 11:30 a.m. 2019

The event will begin at 11:30 with a performance from the Raging Grannies. Booths equipped with button making materials, sign making materials, voter registration forms, and other information available. At noon, the march will be preceded by speeches from teens Olivia Joachim, Eva Swartz, Lavender Weburg, MacKenzie Ridgwood, Arcata city council member Sofia Pereira, and Eureka city council member Leslie Castellano. These speeches will follow a blessing from Wiyot elder and former tribal chair member Cheryl Seidner. Marching will be led by local instrumental group Bandemonium at 1 p.m. Attendees will march to the Arcata Plaza and back.
