Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

McKinleyville Community Choir Spring Concert

When: Sun., June 10, 3 p.m. 2018

The program consists of a variety of songs, in a variety of languages and dialects, accompanied by various instruments--keyboard, percussion, guitars and family, flute, rhythm-- featuring the full choir, several ensembles, a number of solos and duets. The songs vary from a toe-tapping mambo to a serene heartfelt Schubert lieder and other songs, familiar and not so. The members of the choir come from a number of area communities, meeting every Monday evening to prepare for these concerts, enjoying the camaraderie, joy, and discipline of making music together. The choir is shepherded and led by Robert Keiber, a talented singer and musician in his own right. An assortment of sweet and savory refreshments will be available, along with tea, coffee, and a fruit punch. There is no fee, but donations are appreciated. Mark your calendars, bring family and friends, support and enjoy one of the special musical events in this talented, creative, special part of California we call home.
