Middle Creek Planting Party

When: Sat., Feb. 23, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. 2019

Are you looking for a fun volunteer event to participate in? Are you looking to help improve your local watershed? If so, the California Conservation Corps Watershed Stewards Program in Partnership with Americorps has the perfect opportunity for you! On Saturday, February 23 rd from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. volunteers will help plant native species along Middle Creek, near the Bear River Casino. Middle Creek is a tributary of the Eel River, an important salmonid spawning habitat. By planting trees along Middle Creek we can improve water quality before it enters the Eel River. This will improve habitat for our fishy friends. Please bring: a water bottle, coffee mug, work gloves, and a smile. Wear water-resistant shoes and dress for the weather. Snacks, coffee, and tea will provided in the morning for all volunteers. Volunteers will also receive free lunch after the event! Please park at the Bear River Recreation Center- 265 Keisner Rd. Loleta, CA 95551.
