Amber Gaffney is a psychology professor at Humboldt State University. In this talk, she’ll unpack changing social identities. The search for meaning, clarity and positive social identities will serve as a foundation for this talk which critically examines some conditions under which social and political groups move toward extremism and/or seek stability, particularly in times of uncertainty and unrest.
