While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.
*In light of spiking local COVID-19 case numbers, the unprecedented spread of disease Humboldt County is currently seeing and Public Health's recent recommendation against large gatherings, the North Coast Journal has decided to postpone its Best of Humboldt party scheduled for Aug. 6. We simply will not risk hosting an event that could compromise the health of the community we love and the wellbeing of the healthcare workers we all depend on. We look forward to rescheduling the event in the future, as soon as it is safe for us all to gather and celebrate the Best Of Humboldt.
