We're celebrating Ocean Night, the seventh anniversary of the "reconstitution" of Humboldt Surfrider, plus welcoming Delia Bense-Kang as the chapter's new chairperson! Come out and welcome Delia, say goodbye to Jennifer Savage and enjoy two excellent films; Dear and Yonder, and Shark Girl! For this special occasion The Neighborhood Boardshop is donating a "Shaper/Board Design Session" to the raffle!Dear & Yonder (2014). Dear and Yonder is a surf film that provides a portal into the lives of women who inspire through their connections with the sea. Their explorations take us around the world (Yonder) and just around the corner (Dear) to document women of all ages, crafts, and styles. Featuring: Sofia Mulanovich, Belinda Baggs, Stephanie Gilmore, Kassia Meador, Liz Clark, Rell Sunn, Prue Jeffries, Coco Ho, Ashley Lloyd, Linda Benson, Lee-Ann Curren, Ashley Davis, Lisa Andersen, Judith Sheridan, Silvana Lima, Chelsea Hedges, Sally Fitzgibbons, and a wide cast of historical female surfers.
