Playhouse Arts, together with Salsa at Six, are excited to present an evening with Palante Jazz at the Arcata Playhouse. Starting off the evening at 8PM, Miss Julie Hayes from Salsa at Six will offer a free, delightfully easy salsa lesson. Then at 9PM, practice your dance moves to live music with Palante Jazz, a dynamic group of seven musicians who, collectively, have centuries of experience playing jazz and Cuban dance music. They are Jimmy Durchslag, Matthew McClimon, Howie Kaufman, David Peñalosa, Michael Stephenson, Francis Vanek, and Cyrus Wong-Weissman. This music is highly danceable, and there will be specialty drinks!
