Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Art

People, Places and Things by Antoinette Magyar

When: Fri., Oct. 11, 6-9 p.m. 2019

The Upstairs Gallery at Umpqua Bank is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by gallery curator Antoinette Magyar entitled "People, Places and Things." Magyar is an avid Plein Air, still life and portrait painter originally from Visalia, California and now residing in Trinidad, California. Magyar will be presenting new work, alongside some oldies but goodies. When asked what her subject matter is, she keeps it simple: "I paint nouns." Her first memory as a child was of a painting; a tree painted by her mother. From this influential artistic upbringing, Magyar always knew that art was her path.
