Ruth’s chapbook, I Remind Myself, has poems ranging from lesbian songs to a medical septet. A lifelong poet, at 92 she says of her work, “My poetry helps keep me alive. Looking back, it gives me a sense of wonder, curiosity and humor about all the things that have happened to me.” The poems in Pat’s chapbook, Slipped Past Words, have been described by poet Naomi Shihab Nye as “Rich with imagery, warm in tone, they feel as close as a comfortable friend."
