Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Public Input Sessions: Tepona Point Public Access Improvements

When: Thu., Feb. 24, 6-7 p.m. 2022

The Trinidad Coastal Land Trust (TCLT) is in the process of planning public access and safety improvements at Tepona Point, formerly known as Luffenholtz County Park. In 2019, TCLT took over ownership of the area from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. With funding and support from the California Wildlife Conservation Board and input from local community members, the Land Trust has developed a plan for public access improvements that includes a public restroom, ADA accessible picnic area, reconfigured parking, native plantings, enhanced picnic and overlook areas, as well as interpretive signage. The public is invited to a presentation of the plan, to ask questions and provide feedback. Sunday February 27, from 3-4pm on site. Tepona point is located 2 miles south of Trinidad on Scenic drive. Please email info@trinidadcoastallandtrust.org for a zoom link for the February 24th meeting, or to RSVP for the February 27th site visit.
