This session invites white, multiracial and BIPOC identities to talk mixed/blended and adoptive families and the struggles of raising Black and Brown bodies while white. This session will review white supremacy culture, the white gaze and inherently anti-black concepts woven into our society, and the ways these things cause harm for Black and Brown children. Participants will leave with tips for navigating race conversations, diversifying their outlooks and a resource list for personal anti racist work.
