In this reading and workshop, poet and educator Dr. Raina J. León will offer a short selection of poetry generated from a place of witness and resistance in these times of increased tumult, marginalization, and violence against people of color. After a Q&A about her work, she will offer generative creative writing prompts for audience members and writers to consider based on the poetry of Danez Smith, Patricia Smith, and Aracelis Girmay.
