Alexa DeJoannis, formerly of HSU’s Shorebird Ecology Lab will lead this workshop. Participants will first search for beach-loving birds, then walk out on the South Jetty to see birds of rocky habitats. The tide will be low around 1:30 p.m., when we walk on the jetty. Dress warmly and bring water. Wear shoes with soft-rubber soles (sneakers) for the jetty walk. Meet at the southern foot of Table Bluff Road in Loleta to carpool to the to carpool to the jetty. Heavy wind or rain cancels.
