Join Redwood Region Audubon Society for a bird walk on the Smith River Bottoms. Del Norte County resident, Ken Burton, will lead a summer exploration of the Smith River floodplain, focusing on wetland and riparian habitats. Sites likely to be visited include Bailey Road, Goodwin Pond, Alexandre Dairy, and Pala Road. Interesting shorebirds are often in the area at this time of year and we should see nesting Bald Eagles. Meet at the Crescent City Cultural Center at 9 a.m.
