Solitary Man: A Visit to Pelican Bay State Prison is an engaging two-person play with music. The play revolves around Charlie Hinton’s experiences from his visits to Pelican Bay, California’s first maximum security prison, located in Crescent City. He developed the script based on letters he received during and after the 60 day hunger strike of 2013, in which 30,000 California prisoners participated. In the play, Charlie takes you into the prison with him to visit Otis Washington.
