Sunshine Week Roundtable Discussion

Access Humboldt is hosting a roundtable discussion about “Transparency and Privacy.” Part of Sunshine Week March 16-21. This year’s theme is “Surveillance, Privacy and Free Speech” including a civic participation fair, a roundtable discussion, a public forum at HSU campus, and a hands-on privacy workshop. See accesshumboldt.net for more information.The “Transparency and Privacy Roundtable” will feature brief presentations by Thadeus Greenson of the Northcoast Journal, Eureka Police Chief Andy Mills, and Shahid Buttar of the Electronic Frontier Foundation. The roundtable discussion will also include representatives of local media outlets, journalism educators and independent media activists.
