Teaching Natural History Today: The California Naturalist Program at College of the Redwoods

Join Redwood Region Audubon Society for this presentation by Karen Reiss, Professor of Biology at College of the Redwoods (CR), who will describe how the California Naturalist program was created by the University of California to promote environmental stewardship, volunteerism, citizen science, and science education. Dr. Reiss will examine the state of natural history education today, and describe what the CR California Naturalist program looks like. (CR now offers California Naturalist certification in association with the course.) Bring a mug to enjoy shade-grown coffee, and come fragrance-free.
