The Chinese in Northwestern California

Explore the experiences of nineteenth Chinese-American immigrants in Humboldt and Trinity Counties, California as they navigated the cultural and political landscapes of their new home. The course will explore the arrival of Chinese-Americans in region, the rise of the anti-Chinese movement, and the very different outcomes in each county.
