Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

The Health Benefits of Climate Action

When: Mon., Oct. 4, 7-8:30 p.m. 2021

Local retired physician Dr. Wendy Ring speaks on Zoom on the importance of taking action on climate change in protecting human health. She'll talk about local climate health impacts, health benefits from climate action, and how to communicate to the public about this. She’ll share her perspective on the threat of coal trains rolling down the Eel River canyon.   Dr. Ring is a longtime Humboldt resident who founded and served as medical director of Humboldt's first mobile healthcare clinic. Now retired, she continues to work as a full-time advocate for climate action.
