The 100-year celebration of the passage of the 19th Amendment, allowing women the right to vote, is coming up in August. KEET-TV and The League of Women Voters of Humboldt County present a screening of “The Vote” by AMERICAN EXPERIENCE. This free online presentation is hosted by journalist Linda Stansberry and her guests include Sofia Pereria who serves on the Arcata City Council, Historian & author Alex Service and Carolyn Crnich who is the former Registrar of Voters of Humboldt County The panel will discuss issues presented in the short film clip and the role women play in democracy today.
