Thwaites Glacier Research: On board the Nathaniel B Palmer

Due to covid-19, the Nathaniel B Palmer Antarctic research vessel is currently moored in Humboldt Bay. In this special edition of HSU's Sustainable Futures speaker series, three US Antarctic Program participants will speak about Thwaites Glacier studies, life aboard the Nathaniel B Palmer, and US polar climate research. Presenting for this event will be Julia Wellner, Principal Investigator with the International Thwaites Glacier Collaboration project; Al Hickey, Marine Project Coordinator on the NBP; and Tim McGovern, Ocean Projects Manager within the National Science Foundation’s Office of Polar Programs.
