The training is open to anyone interested in learning more about the Trinidad Coast and how to share their interest with others. After a brief overview of the work of the Trinidad Coastal Land Trust and the new volunteer program, the group will carpool to Baker Beach for a Seaweed Walk lead by Allison Poklemba. Participants will learn how to identify some of the most common, useful and delicious sea weeds growing along the north coast and gain a better understanding of their role in ecosystem. Come prepared to wade in the intertidal. Water boots recommended. Participants must be able to navigate a moderately steep walk with a short stretch cable steps to the beach. Space is limited, RSVP required. Call 834-4113 for more information and to reserve your space, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
