With regard to the article "Protest Song" (Oct. 29), I'm finding it extremely difficult to feel sorry for the foul-mouthed Mr. Pegg. It was an act of utter idiocy to purchase the tavern with full knowledge that he would most likely not be able to operate as a live performance venue until the pandemic is behind us. As of the publication date of this article, we'd had 10 reported Humboldt County COVID-19 related deaths, and there could be others that have not been documented. One is too many. Given his apparent sense of entitlement and disregard for the safety of others (and county health orders), I can't help but wonder about Mr. Pegg's political affiliation.
