Lots of people are "hooked" in Humboldt. Are we better off than we were four years ago?
Virginia Bass will have been in office eight full years at the end of this term. Humboldt County alcohol and other drug-related death rates are on the rise. Dani Burkhart understands the need for teens to get clean, she understands we need groups for dual diagnosis people. She understands Humboldt from the ground up.
No more praying for the drug problem to go away — it's time for some new faces and new ideas. Otherwise we're just repeating history Humboldt has already lived.
