West African Cultural Homage: a two night musical showcase with Lansana Kouyate and friends

Lansana Kouyate is a Griot and Balafon master from Guinea, West Africa. Miriam Djakite is a dance master and Griot from Mali, West Africa, she is the lead singer in the African psychedelic rock band Orchestra gold based in the Bay area. Gordon Hellegers is a master Kora player and student of the great Malian Kora master Tumani Djibati. For two nights these amaing artists are coming together in Arcata to bring you the rich traditional sounds of West Africa.
