Wetland Restoration & Grass Identification

When: Sun., July 16, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. 2017

Join Northcoast Regional Land Trust Project Manager Kerry McNamee on a walk through Freshwater Farms Reserve to learn about the native grass restoration project undertaken at the pasture onsite. Tour will walk the 8 acre high brackish marsh restoration area and learn about the challenges and opportunities of this type of restoration. The group will also learn how to identify California native grasses while pulling invasive grasses, and how to incorporate grazing into a successful grassland restoration. Please wear closed toe shoes, and bring your gloves if you'd like to pull out those pesky invasives. No RSVP necessary.
