Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Women and Girls Birdwatching Trip

When: Tue., Sept. 6, 6-8 p.m. 2022

Join Redwood Region Audubon Society for the monthly Women and Girls Birdwatching series on September 6, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Trip leader, Janelle Chojnacki, will help you spice up a weekday evening with this free guided walk around the Arcata Marsh. We will likely observe many migratory species, including foraging swallows and swifts, warblers, flycatchers, and maybe some raptors getting a last meal before night. Evening walks always carry the possibility of viewing the plethora of night herons taking off from their diurnal roosts and seeing owls out and about! Bring binoculars and a scope if you have one.
