I have known Richard Marks for nearly 30 years. I have known him through slow-pitch softball and his work as a commissioner on the harbor district board.

Richard recognizes the importance of a healthy Humboldt Bay to our local economy and our environment. His hard work for the last nine years on the harbor district board has been focused on making government efficient, ensuring that infrastructure is maintained and built to facilitate the needs of our economy while at the same time protecting the fisheries, wildlife and plant life that make Humboldt Bay a beautiful and productive resource.

As a union leader, community board volunteer, volunteer softball commissioner and harbor commissioner, Richard has demonstrated his ability to work hard, to lead and to get things done.

I urge you to vote for Richard Marks for Humboldt Bay harbor district commissioner.
